Patrick Maiden

Patrick is an aquatic ecologist with 20 years’ experience conducting research and consultancy projects involving the ecology, flows and environmental chemistry of inland waterways. Patrick’s career started with technical roles with the CRCFE, and then shifted to private consultancy firms, working in the water and environment sectors. Patrick now leads GHD's Indigenous Services team, with a purpose to increase Aboriginal participation in decision making and delivering projects. As manager of GHD’s Gippsland office, Patrick has formed some close connections with the Registered Aboriginal Parties and Traditional Owners of the region. Patrick is also GHD’s Reconciliation Champion in Victoria, inspired by social justice and a desire for an inclusive community. Patrick lives in a conservation covenanted property in the Dandenong Ranges, and shares a fascination of the lyrebirds and frogs with his three amazing girls.
