Kelly Behrens

I am Manager of Healthy Waterways, at the North East Catchment Management Authority, where I lead programs focused on improving the health, resilience, and long term sustainability of waterways and catchments. My work brings together science, policy, and on ground action, with a strong emphasis on collaboration across agencies, local government and community stakeholders. With over 20 years’ experience working in Natural Resource Management I apply a practical, outcomes focused approach and translates complex environmental challenges into clear priorities and actions. She is passionate about supporting healthy waterways that deliver environmental, cultural, and community benefits now and into the future. I bring a practical and solutions driven perspective to her work, with a particular focus on translating strategy into action. As a speaker, I shares insights on waterway management, collaboration, and leadership in complex environmental settings, drawing on real world experience to inform and inspire positive change.
