Khendra Harvey
This study presents findings of an MSc thesis completed by Khendra Harvey under the supervision of Gary Brierley and Jon Tunnicliffe in the School of Environment (SoE) at the University of Auckland (UoA). Khendra is a Physical Geographer who incorporates findings of field investigations, GIS analyses and modelling applications in analysis of river systems. Jon is a Senior Lecturer in the SoE at UoA. His work focuses on development and application of numerical models and their application to river management issues. Lois Easton and Laura Watson are founding members of the Waimatā Catchment Group. They have co-ordinated the development, and now co-run, a major river restoration initiative in the Waimatā Valley. Gary is Chair of Physical Geography in the SoE at UoA. His research lies at the interface of river science and management, with particular emphasis upon geomorphic applications to inform conservation and restoration activities.
